FIXING INSTRUCTIONS
Decide on the size of fire surround required.
From the centre of heater measure out distance A and plumb both marks up with spirit level
Measure up plumb marks distance B from top of skirting board or hearth and level line across.
Measure from skirting to level line and cut legs to length with a hand saw.
Locate framing timbers, mark and pre-drill leg panels and base blocks to suit screws provided. (Countersink screw heads).
Apply recommended adhesive to the back of leg panels and screw fix to marks on layout.
Mantle may be adjusted for length by cutting approx 45 mm off one end then cut a further piece off to reduce the length, then glue the end back on with the special stopping compound supplied and plaster the joint flush. (Mix small amounts of stopping compound with water to smooth paste).
Glue mantle shelf into position.
Cut surround facing to fit and attach with screws and adhesive provided.
Patch screw holes and junctions etc with stopping compound provided before painting.
